Howdy!

As March finally rolls into April, I’m preparing for a move to just south of here, into what should be a bigger place.  The official move won’t take place until sometime in early May, but we’re pretty excited about it.

In the meantime, I’m working on a review for the Clock Tower Nine project’s “Days Without End” cassette compilation.  I wanted to give you the links now as there’s a zine in the works as well, and I can’t hide my excitement for this.  Ordering info is posted there and hopefully within the next few days, I’ll have info on the bands and the cassette itself posted here.  Stay tuned.

On the ambient side of things, Mystified just released a spiffy piece entitled, “Star Spangled Banner Outtakes.”  It samples an older recording of the anthem from a 78, and it’s reinterpreted here in a blissful, hazy ambient format, staying far from political statements but showing off the brilliant aesthetic qualities of the song.  This is available from Treetrunk Records via FLAC and MP3.  Also, keep in mind that Treetrunk is a label that updates nearly daily with new releases.  Check out the vast archive!

And now,  Black Moth Super Rainbow / Tobacco fans, heads up.  Demon Queen is here.  Tom Fec and Zackey Force Funk.  J

All right… time to replace the dishwasher….

See ya!

About Nick H.

I'm a geek for music whether it be on vinyl, CD, 78 or whatever. My goal is to sniff out the greated music on Earth, specializing in the obscure. I make music myself as well, mostly ambient and sound collage (1 album out and a few remixes so far). I work full time as a professional mascot (it pays the pills) but will soon retire, i hope.
