Madeline is reissuing her Slow Bang album on This Will Be Our Summer Records. The album is due in mid-September, but preorders are up now. The preorder package will be a real joy, featuring Madeline’s “What The Devil Don’t Know” zine for the first time since 2006 when it was first printed. It’ll also include a pillowcase with original artwork by Madeline herself. The preorder package is going for 25$ plus shipping. Order it here! Review coming soon.
Evan Caminiti has a new album out on Thrill Jockey entitled Dreamless Sleep. Evan is one half of the band Barn Owl, so as you can imagine, the sounds here are pretty wild. Evan has a new video up for his song, “Absteigend” and you can view it here.
The Bastards of Fate have a new video up as well… must be a good week for videos! It’s for their track “Digging up Dinosaurs” from their album, “Who’s a Fuzzy Buddy?” Scope it out! Their album is still available on This Will Be Our Summer Records.
Like Cassettes? Scope out Chemical Tapes. If you enjoy mind altering electronic-ambient or other aural expanding electronic experiments, this might be something for you. I’m eyeing a few cassettes myself.
Tuning Into Obscure (ToI) News: I know I keep changing up the schedule of what’s coming up, so please forgive me. There will be a review for Madeline and Loch ness Mouse soon. I am also currently working on an article about early ska music that should be fun. I am going on a mini-tour of western NY this week at work so I may drop out of touch for a while. But, eventually, updates will come.
